Holiday Parade

We got invited to a Holiday Parade this weekend from some friends of ours. Since neither I nor Maile has been to a Holiday Parade we thought it would be fun to go. (scratch that I have been to a Holiday Parade but I was marching in it and not a spectator, doesn't count). It was going to be super cold either so we were excited. It was in a small town a little south of Denver, and it reminded me a lot of Greeley when we got there. Not today Greeley, but Greeley circa 1989-1995. We bundled up the kids, and staked out our spot on the curb, and waited for the festivities to start.

Maile was facinated by all the lights and that there were Fire Trucks just covered in xmas lights and honking their horns. She also loved when a float had some music blaring, she start bouncing around and shakin her booty. (that also happens when you allow her to have hot chocolate AND gummi watermelon rings.. ACK )

It only lasted about an hr and a half, so right when the tempature started dropping for the evening is when it was over. PERFECT timing. So we grabbed some dinner and headed home. It was a fun evening, we were talking about taking her to the Denver Parade of Lights, which I'm sure it going to be a much bigger affair, but then realized that it is the same night as my works Holiday Party. So not this year, but we'll have to think about it again next year. Here are some cute pictures of the evening!

SANTA!

Waving her wand, and her hand.. oh my little multi-tasker.
She loved this one, because it's like Cinderella's carriage, she waved a lot!
