Derichsweiler Visit

Christopher and Salina, and their two kids Charlotte and Cooper came to visit this last week, they were here for about a week. Salina was taking a class on natural gas for her work, and hopefully to help her chances of getting a job out here in the near future. It was a wild and crazy week, especially since all three kids got sick, and Christopher. Despite the drama though, we had a good time and even managed to get in a few pictures of the kids for their 16mth (Cooper) and 20mth (Charlotte). We tried to get a family one, but the kids just weren't having it. There's always next time. Here are a few of the cute ones.

Here's Charlotte and I, she was a complete camera ham!

We had a swim afternoon, and the kids had a blast, Charlotte kept dumping water on herself and laughing, it was so funny. Cooper was trying to splash everyone and laughing, and Maile was trying to pour water on everyone else.. including me, and laughing.

I love Charlotte in the outer frame of this picture, she looks like she's diving to get into the pictures. Like I said... what a ham!

Cooper got tired of the pool before the girls did, so he went exploring, and ended up playing with Katie, well trying. Katie isn't has active as Cooper's dog Scout, so she reacted a little differently when the kids chased her around. Basically she just walked away.
But here we catch Katie in her natural habitat in a relaxed state (imagine a Steve Erwin voice) a common occurance lately. Cooper is brave enough to approch the beast, and try and touch her coat all with a smile on his face. SUCCESS!!

Here's the kids, watching Christopher get something out of the car, gives you an idea of their height. Cooper is the youngest at 16mth, than Charlotte at 20mths, and Maile at 2years. Crazy huh!

This is what breakfast, Lunch and Dinner looked like, Maile refused to sit in a big girl chair, since both the kids were sitting in cool high chairs. Luckily we still had an extra so she could join the party. They would pass food to each other, whatever they didn't want to eat, and their sippy cups. Cooper LOVES the pink cups, so they would usually swap half way through the meal.

Uncle Mikael with all three kids, brave fellow, good thing he can bench a lot, that's a lot of toddlers, can't imagine they were holding still either. I think they had fun, as well as Uncle Mikael.
Every night was pretty busy for them, since they were visiting family and fitting in bedtime on time. So I didn't get a lot of pictures the rest of the week, but the boy took the kids to the Museum one day, which was fun.
The boys also got a little night out, and went to see the movie G.I. Joe. We told them they could go to the strip clubs but they were home by midnight, claiming they were too old to go it was too late. But I can't blame them, Christopher was still fighting his cold, and not getting much sleep with the kids being sick too. Bummer.
Us girls went out the next night to LODO's in Highlands Ranch, Salina's friend Raeann came and her friend Cambria, plus Nicole (Mikael's sister) and my self. We had a pretty good time, and danced our booties off.
Saturday was our last day together, we went to the farmers market in Southlands and played in the fountain. Charlotte absolutely loved it, and got soaked. Cooper and Maile decided to play it safe and not venture in and explored the area around the fountain instead. We made a nice dinner, and just relaxed the rest of the night. They left early on Sunday morning, and after they left the house felt strangely quiet... too quiet.
Hopefully they'll be back soon! Keeping our fingers crossed!!
